Luke in 40 - Luke 15

Luke 15:1-32

Today's reading involves three parables having to do with Lost and Found: the Lost Sheep, Lost Coin, and Lost Son.

In the first two parables we see how God will go to the extreme to search out what is lost and bring it home. It doesn't matter the expense, because recovery of the lost is what is important.

In the third parable, also known as the Prodigal Son, we see the amazing grace that God has for us. For even when the son wastes everything, insults his father, and takes off, God still celebrates his return.

The same is with us. No matter where we go, or what we do, God is seeking us out and welcoming us home, because we are his children and we always will me.
