Luke in 40 - Luke 22

Luke 22:47-71 

Now Jesus is arrested, mocked, and tried. 

It is always hard for me to read through these passages. I think one of the reasons for that is the betrayal of Peter.

Here is Jesus' right hand man. The one who walked with his step by step throughout his ministry. And yet, at the end, Peter denies Christ.

So what does that say about me?

I know there are times when I slip and falter. Times when I take off the collar because I just don't want to be known as "the pastor" at the time. 

Am I denying Christ? Am I living up to my calling?

Thank God that our God is gracious and merciful, because I need his forgiveness every day.
