Luke in 40 - Luke 10

Luke 10:1-42

In this chapter Jesus calls 72 more people to his mission, sending them out as missionaries in pairs . He also teaches them that they need to rely on the hospitality of strangers, of the people that they are reaching out to. He also reminds them that they may not be welcome in the towns where they are visiting, so to be prepared.

These missionaries return from their mission, filled with joy because of the way in which they were received, they share their stories and celebrate this mission.

Then a lawyer asks a questions - what must I do to inherit eternal life. This leads into the parable of the Good Samaritan and who are neighbors actually are.

When you hear the story of the Good Samaritan, what comes to mind for you?
