Luke 11:29-54
Our reading through Luke continues with Jesus talking about signs and reminding people about the prophet Jonah. He also talks about our bodies and how the body and light relate to each other.
Then Jesus goes head to head with the Pharisees, again. This time he had been invited into a Pharisees house for a meal, and he went. At the meal he berates Pharisees as a whole, lists their sins, and insults them.
This speech Jesus gives helps to solidify the hatred the Pharisees had for him, and they are actively searching for a way to catch him in a trap and be rid of him.
